Wheels for Ford series from RPM

For those who, like myself, have purchased one of the RPM kits that are based on the ubiquitous Ford Model T, and have, like myself, wished for a better representation of the wheels contained in said kits, Syndicate Co. has come to our rescue. There is no disputing that the RPM wheels as they come in the box are not the best, especially with regards to the rather over thick spokes. The new 3D printed replacement wheels from Syndicate will definitely spruce up your build. The spokes are sublime, as is the hub detail and tire tread. Printing supports are super fine and should require little effort to remove. The little nubs left over will be extremely easy to sand off. You may need to enlarge the mounting hole on the backside of the hub, but that should be about all the extra effort you'll need to add these beauties to you model.

According to [1], the early Model T came with a wheel diameter of 30in. In 1/72 that works out to 0.417in. Tire width was 3in. for the front, and 3.5in for the rear, which in 1/72 works out to 0.042 & 0.048 respectively.

The Syndikate Co. wheel diameter measure 0.416in., while the tire width is 0.048in, which matches the 3.5in rear tire diameter on the real car. I seriously doubt that anyone will notice the .006in. over scale for use as front tires. So, as for scale, they are darn close to 1/72!
